Hi! I’m Sylvia, a Chinese female who graduated last year and have recently started working in early childhood education (4 days/week) in McKinnon. I’m currently looking for accommodation within around a 20-minute drive during commuting hours, or roughly within 9km of McKinnon.

I generally prefer areas west or north-west of McKinnon — especially locations between the CBD and McKinnon such as St Kilda, Brighton, Caulfield and nearby suburbs — though I’m also open to slightly further or more eastern areas if the place feels like a good fit.

My current visa is valid until the end of November, and I’m hoping to move in before June 15 if possible.

I’m quiet, respectful, clean, and easy to communicate with. I cook occasionally, don’t smoke (though I may occasionally vape while studying in my own room), and only drink socially from time to time. I would also prefer a home where smoking is avoided in shared/common areas. I also have a car, so ideally I’m looking for a place with parking.

On weekends I’m usually relaxing at home, studying English/PTE at the library, or going bouldering with friends.

I don’t bring male guests home, and I’d prefer a relatively quiet household without frequent male visitors. If possible, I would also prefer a home without additional male housemates outside of the host family members. I also wanted to ask whether it would occasionally be okay for me to invite female friends over briefly.

I value open and direct communication, and prefer resolving issues calmly rather than letting tension build up 😊

Ideally I would prefer a bedroom with at least a double bed, as I’m not very comfortable with single beds. I would also ideally prefer to have my own bathroom, but I’m also completely happy with a clean shared bathroom with female housemates.

I’d also be happy to pay extra if meals are included, although I’m also completely okay preparing my own food.
