Hi, I’m Mary!
I live with my husband & two adult children in a beautiful suburb, just 12 km from Melbourne city. We come from a greek heritage & enjoy connecting with family as well as friends. Our home is in a great location—close to public transport, shops, cafes, parks, & everything you might need.
We have a couple of spare bedrooms (both with built in wardrobes) & love to host people from other countries & cultures. I’ve previously hosted international students from France, Rome, Vietnam, Thailand, Argentina and Germany—and I’ve made lifelong friendships through it!
Our home is two-storey with 5 bedrooms, open living and dining areas, and outside areas for entertaining or unwinding. There is plenty of space to relax or study, whether it be upstairs in our communal study area or in the privacy of your own room. We have outdoor space, front and back of the house where you can unwind and enjoy the view of our gardens.
Weekly rental costs include fully furnished bedroom/s, electricity, gas & water, all bed linen, bath towels, access to Wi-Fi & and includes breakfast items, should you wish to have food provided for lunch & dinner, we can certainly accommodate you with these meals & agree upon extra costs weekly for this.
We’re a friendly, easygoing family who enjoy spending time together—whether it’s over a chat or a home-cooked meal. At the same time, we respect your need for personal space & quiet time.

A little about us:
I work part-time in aged and disability care as a carer. I enjoy catching up with friends, playing board games, colouring in, doing puzzles, socialising or just chilling out in front of a good movie, I love gardening, growing herbs and veggies, and cooking healthy, fresh meals from all kinds of cuisines—Greek, Italian, Indian, Vietnamese, you name it!
My husband works full-time in home automation and is quite the handyman and likes to tinker in his garage, he enjoys walking and keeping fit, & enjoys any kind of activity that involves fixing things or building something from scratch.
We have 3 adult children & currently my 2 sons live at home and frequently travel when they can.
As a family, we like family connections, enjoy meeting people from different cultures and backgrounds. We all have different ways to unwind, we enjoy a good board game or card games, we all have different tastes in music and sport, and we all like different ways to keep fit and exercise, whether it be yoga, pilates, bike riding, walking, jogging, going to the gym, swimming and we definitely all enjoy the beach, going for hikes, we love the outdoors, & I would say we are all adventurous in different ways & we all love experimenting with food from different cultures.
If you're looking for a welcoming, respectful, and a warm vibe during your stay in Melbourne, we'd love to hear from you!
